i’m vegan because i want to avoid violence where violence is unnecessary. it’s not complicated.

I’m vegan because I want to try to extend at least a shred of curtesy to the non-human animals that don’t have an option.

I understand the point and even agree with it to a certain degree, but not everyone is physically capable of being 100% vegan. One of my friends had to give up total veganism after two years because of vitamin deficiencies. She ate all the right things and took all the right supplements, but her body just wasn’t absorbing enough iron and B vitamins necessary to keep her healthy.
